On the evening of October 10, the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine organized the "Welcome New Students" program to welcome 1,012 outstanding faces to officially join the academy in 2025.

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony for new students, Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Quang Huy, Vice President of the Academy, expressed that in the context of a flat world , medicine has no borders. The Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine is proud to be a bright spot in international cooperation. The school has been strongly developing relationships with prestigious partners around the world such as: Harvard University (USA), Paris Cité University (France), universities in Russia, Italy, China, Korea, Thailand...
"Student exchange programs, academic exchanges, and international conferences will open up new horizons of knowledge for students, helping them become global citizens, confident in working anywhere," said Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Quang Huy.

He also expressed his hope that with their talent, enthusiasm and constant efforts, the students will continue to write glorious pages for the academy's 55-year tradition of construction and 20 years of development.
"Study passionately, practice seriously and live responsibly so that later, no matter what position you are in, you can proudly say: I am a student of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine" - Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Quang Huy advised the students.

With 25.8 points in this year's high school graduation exam, Dinh Van Duc Dung excelled in becoming the valedictorian of the pharmacy major. The new student said that his family has a tradition of practicing medicine, and he has been exposed to traditional medicines and remedies since childhood. Since childhood, he has been passionate and wanted to become a good doctor, contributing to the care and protection of community health.
The new valedictorian aims to strive for excellent grades in the coming school years, improve his professional expertise and skills, and actively participate in scientific research activities and volunteer work.
"A good doctor must not only be good at his profession but also have a kind heart, know how to listen and sympathize with the patient" - the male student said.
Also having a special passion for plants and natural healing methods, student Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh is the valedictorian of the traditional medicine major. Growing up in a rural area with many families practicing traditional medicine, Anh was exposed to the profession early on, nurturing her dream of pursuing traditional medicine.
Entering the university, the new valedictorian set himself the goal of constantly striving to improve his specialized knowledge, practice research skills and apply traditional medicine in human health care. He also expressed his wish that after graduating, he could return to his hometown, open a small clinic to serve the people and contribute to spreading the value of Vietnamese oriental medicine.
Resolution No. 282/NQ-CP dated September 15, 2025 of the Government determines the development and implementation of an investment project to develop 5 key universities, including the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine.
Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine is not only a training place, but also a prestigious center for scientific research and medical examination and treatment, combining the quintessence of traditional medicine and the progress of modern medicine.
