Construction of Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway in full swing

In the middle of the hot noon, dozens of workers of Son Hai Group Co., Ltd. are still working hard to construct safety guardrails and noise protection at the beginning of the route. Not far away, a group of workers with modern equipment of the contractor are pouring concrete for the hard median strip. Joining the hustle and bustle, Khanh Hoa Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company is making efforts to complete Song Cai Bridge (Tay Ninh Hoa commune) - the last bridge on this route constructed by the unit.

The first section of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway has been paved.

Mr. Vu Huu Khoa - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Road Construction and Management Joint Stock Company said that in construction package No. 1 (the first 22km section of the route), there are 9 bridges constructed by the company. The company has made efforts to mobilize machinery and equipment to speed up the progress as required. Up to now, the unit has basically completed 8 bridges, and Song Cai bridge is expected to be completed in November this year, 3 months ahead of schedule compared to the contract.

According to the report of the Provincial Management Board of Investment and Construction of Agricultural and Transport Works (project investor), the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project has 3 construction packages with a total value of VND 2,275 billion, reaching 62.86% of the contract value, exceeding the plan by 3.19%. In particular, construction package No. 1 has 20km registered within the 3,000km of expressway to be completed by the end of 2025 under the direction of the Prime Minister. This package is constructed by Son Hai Group Company Limited, and has so far reached 78.85% of the contract value, exceeding the plan by 2.41%. Construction package No. 2 (10km in the middle of the route) is implemented by the Phuong Nam - Bac Trung Nam - Dong Duong Joint Venture, and has so far reached 45.58% of the contract value, exceeding the plan by 4.83%. Construction package No. 3, construction of Km30 bridge and Cua Dong bridge, implemented by Truong Son Construction Corporation, has so far reached 51% of the contract value, 0.6% behind schedule.

Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Deputy Director of the Provincial Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Agricultural and Transport Works said that so far, the project's progress has met the requirements. The contractors have made efforts to construct, and are expected to complete the first 20km of the route by December 19 this year. However, since May, there has been frequent and irregular rain at the construction site, affecting the construction progress, especially construction packages 2 and 3. To overcome the difficulties caused by the erratic rainy weather, the Project Management Board has directed the contractor to take advantage of the clear weather to concentrate machinery, equipment, and human resources to organize construction in "3 shifts, 4 teams" to meet the schedule, ensuring the goal of completing the first 20km of the route in 2025 as planned.

The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project (Component Project 1) is 31.5km long, with a total investment of VND 5,333 billion. After completion, Component Project 1 connects with Component Project 2 (invested by Project Management Board 6, Ministry of Construction ) and Component Project 3 (managed by Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee) will shorten the distance from Khanh Hoa to Buon Ma Thuot from nearly 200km to 117km, contributing to traffic connection, creating momentum for socio-economic development of the province.
