Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong said that in recent years, trade relations between An Giang and provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia have increasingly developed positively.
As of September 2025, the total import-export turnover between An Giang and the provinces of Cambodia reached 940 million USD, with a mutually complementary two-way commodity structure, such as: Raw materials, raw agricultural products for production, seafood, rice, consumer goods, fertilizers and many other items.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that with its potential, strengths and strong political determination, An Giang province, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is committed to always accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for businesses to feel secure in investing and developing in the locality.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency Vu Ba Phu affirmed that the conference is an important opportunity for Vietnam - Cambodia partners to assess potential, share experiences, and discuss specific solutions to promote trade, investment and logistics cooperation between Vietnam - Cambodia in general, and the Southern Economic Zone with the Cambodian market in particular.
Based on the contents discussed at the conference, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade will coordinate with the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce and localities in the Southern Economic Zone to develop a joint action plan on trade and investment promotion for the period 2025-2027. Continue to support businesses of the two countries to access market information, improve import-export capacity, develop e-commerce and logistics.
At the same time, research and implement the annual bilateral trade promotion program between Vietnam and Cambodia, organize trade weeks, trade fairs and business forums in Phnom Penh, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City, to maintain the growth momentum of trade turnover, aiming for the target of 20 billion USD in the coming years.
