
Speaking at the program, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan affirmed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union always pay attention to, recognize and promote the role of female workers, civil servants and laborers. At the same time, always maintain and develop the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" among female workers, civil servants and laborers.
Trade unions at all levels have also proactively created and specified the movement's content to suit the reality and each profession. In addition, the movement is always linked with the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers", "Building Vietnamese women of the new era".
"Thereby, it is increasingly affirmed that the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" is not only a competitive slogan but has become the personal need and aspiration of millions of Vietnamese women to shine in both family and social aspects," Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized.
According to Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, with more than 23,000 grassroots unions and about 2.5 million union members, the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at home work" launched by the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union has developed strongly and achieved many outstanding results.

Thereby, more than 385,172 female union members and workers achieved the title of "Good at public work, good at housework" at all levels; thousands of initiatives, topics, technical improvement models, administrative reforms proposed by female workers were effectively applied, bringing in tens of billions of VND in profit each year. Among them, many typical models such as: Women 4.0 - Creativity in digital transformation, green, clean, beautiful women's groups, love sharing corners, etc. have created a spreading effect in agencies, units, and enterprises.


Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan said that the achievements in the movement "Good at public work, good at home work" of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union organization are the result of the spirit of solidarity, persistent efforts and will to rise of millions of female union members - those who have silently devoted themselves, contributed their intelligence and enthusiasm to the development of agencies, units and enterprises.

To continue spreading the movement, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan suggested that the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union at all levels continue to innovate the content and methods of women's activities in a flexible, creative and close-to-the-base direction; associated with better care for the material and spiritual life of female workers, especially those in difficult circumstances, workers far from home, and single mothers.
Along with that, promoting digital transformation in trade union activities, creating an environment for women to promote their capacity, contribute and mature.

In the period 2020 - 2025, more than 1.3 million women registered to participate in the movement, more than 1.1 million women achieved the title "Good at public work, good at housework". The movement mobilized 60,594 women to study culture, 136,174 women to study politics , 111,370 women to study professional skills, 201,675 women to take exams to upgrade their skills to workers.

Trade unions at all levels have introduced 23,151 outstanding female union members with exemplary achievements for the Party and admitted 5,544 outstanding female union members into the Party.

On October 19, a delegation of female employees and laborers of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union, led by Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation Nguyen Kim Loan, offered flowers and incense in memory of President Ton Duc Thang at the Ton Duc Thang Museum (Sai Gon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

The event is on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025), the 15th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day and to welcome the success of the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
After the incense offering ceremony, the delegation visited and learned about Uncle Ton's revolutionary life through thousands of valuable artifacts and documents preserved at the museum.
