The Southern Hau River Cluster Journalists Association summarizes emulation and reward work in 2023

In 2023, the Journalists Association of the provinces and cities in the South of Hau River (including the provinces of An Giang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Can Tho, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Soc Trang ) actively and effectively contributed to the implementation of political tasks in each locality, gathering members - journalists at the affiliated branches to do a good job of information and propaganda work in accordance with the principles and purposes of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press.

Journalist Le Thanh Phuong - Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association, Head of Emulation Cluster 2023 spoke at the Summary Conference.

Continue to organize well the study of Directive 05 of the Politburo on studying and following Uncle Ho in conjunction with patriotic emulation movements; well implement the Conclusion of the 4th Central Conference (term XI, XII, XIII) on Party building and the political system; well implement Directive 43-CT/TW, dated June 8, 2010 of the Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation".

Thoroughly grasp the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on "Building a professional, humane and modern press and media"; actively respond to the emulation movement "Building a cultural environment in press agencies", associated with the Resolution of the Party Congress of each province and city. Comply with and well implement the 12 emulation criteria according to Decision 70a/QD-HNBVN, dated June 21, 2022 of the Vietnam Journalists Association; coordinate with competent agencies to well perform the work of directing and managing the press, well perform the task of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of members - journalists.

Journalist Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association, gave a speech at the Summary Conference.

Coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications of provinces and cities to effectively conduct monthly press meetings to grasp the situation of press activities and promptly orient information and propaganda work in each locality. At the same time, coordinate with press agencies to organize many activities to improve the quality of press products in terms of politics and professional expertise, content and form of expression.

Journalist Truong Van Chuyen - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Can Tho City Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Can Tho Newspaper spoke at the Summary Conference.

Regarding political ideology, members and journalists in the Press Cluster actively participate in studying the Party's directives and resolutions; properly implement the Charter of the Vietnam Journalists Association, 10 Articles regulating professional ethics according to Decision No. 483/QD-HNBVN, and rules for using social networks of Vietnamese journalists according to Decision No. 1131/QD-HNBVN of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association handed over the hosting flag to Ca Mau Provincial Journalists Association as Cluster Leader in 2024.

Many outstanding professional activities, such as: Organizing the Spring Press Festival, collecting and displaying press publications of the province, central press, industry newspapers; special issues of departments, industries, and localities in the province, thereby also organizing exhibitions of paintings and photos on achievements in economic, cultural-social development, national security and defense of each province and city; organizing many practical and meaningful activities to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023); successfully organizing the branch congresses for the 2023 - 2025 term in branches under the Journalists Association of provinces and cities.

Leaders of the Journalists Association of the Southern Hau River Cluster signed a competition agreement for 2024.

Accordingly, in 2024, the Cluster of Journalists Associations of the Southern Hau River Province and City will focus on a number of key areas such as: Striving for over 80% of members to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, State policies and laws and local regulations. Not allowing waste and corruption to occur; actively fighting against corruption and waste.

100% of the Vietnam Journalists Association agencies strive to meet the standards of cultural agencies. Continue to effectively implement Directive 43-CT/TW of the Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation"; Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Journalists Association, term 2020-2025 and the amended and supplemented Charter of the Vietnam Journalists Association. Participate in press direction and management work according to the Coordination Regulations between the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Successfully organize the Giap Thin Spring Press Festival 2024 and participate in the National Press Festival 2024; select excellent press works to participate in the 18th National Press Awards in 2023; successfully organize the local Traditional Press Awards and participate in press awards and writing competitions organized by Central Ministries and branches; deploy activities to support the creation of high-quality press works in 2024. Implement a plan to foster political and journalistic skills for members, reporters, and journalists.
