The leader of the Vietnam Road Administration affirmed: Up to now, most of the national highways and expressways have basically been opened to traffic, only a few points managed by local authorities are still blocked due to deep flooding or large landslides. These areas have been diverted traffic from a distance to ensure safety and avoid congestion.
"The Vietnam Road Administration is continuing to direct units to urgently fix the problem and closely coordinate with localities to soon completely clear traffic at the remaining congested locations, ensuring safe and smooth traffic," said a leader of the Vietnam Road Administration.
How to get there?
Road Management Office I.3 and the regular maintenance contractor, Bac Nam Company, are coordinating with the Thai Nguyen Provincial Traffic Police to regulate traffic at Yen Binh intersection, Km 41+350. Coordinate with Traffic Police Team 15, Hanoi City Police, to regulate traffic at Km 29+250.
The traffic police force also gave specific instructions: vehicles wanting to move from Thai Nguyen to Hanoi should follow the route: Yen Binh overpass - red light intersection (Phuong Tre) - turn right to Xuan Cam bridge (Hanoi) - Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway (Bac Phu intersection, Da Phuc commune and to Soc Son town).
In the afternoon, from Cao Bang, old Bac Kan , Thai Nguyen to Hanoi, go on highway CT 07 to Yen Binh intersection at Km 41+850, exit to National Highway 3 at Km 42, continue to Hanoi and the delta provinces.
National Highway 3 was flooded in the area of Km 28+100; Kim Son, Trung Gia areas (Hanoi); Km 29+500 Xuan Son, Trung Gia and km 31 Yamaha Company Gate were also flooded from 30-35cm, making it difficult for vehicles to move.
In addition, the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen railway line (section through Xuan Son village, Trung Gia commune, Hanoi) was flooded. The functional forces on duty here said that there are no passenger trains running on this line, only freight trains on the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen route are operating with very few numbers.
"Currently, there are no plans to run freight trains through this location. However, we recommend that people should not go to the location of the railway incident due to strong water flow, which could erode the land and cause unsafe conditions," Hanoi Traffic Police added.
Do not attempt to go through flooded areas and follow instructions.
Traffic police said that in the deep flood, high-chassis vehicles, trucks and passenger cars can move, but 4-seat sedans will have difficulty passing. Police asked people and vehicles not to try to find a way through flooded areas, but to follow the instructions and regulations of the on-site force.
The Traffic Police Department will remain on duty 24/7, coordinate with functional units to support people, ensure order and traffic safety until the water completely recedes.
