NDO - From 2014 to 2022, there have been 8 Global Young Parliamentarians' Conferences held with different themes. The National Assembly of Vietnam will host the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians' Conference in Hanoi, from September 14-17, 2023, with the theme "The role of youth in promoting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals through digital transformation and innovation". In 2014, the Inter- Parliamentary Union ( IPU ) established the annual Global Young Parliamentarians' Conference mechanism to contribute to: strengthening the role of young parliamentarians and youth participation in parliamentary activities and making recommendations from the perspective of youth on IPU activities and agenda; building networks, solidarity and capacity building, and expanding youth approaches to issues of common concern. To date, eight global conferences have been held with different themes.
