
Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee emphasized: “2025 is a special year with many important events for the country and the city. In that joyful and proud atmosphere, we attend the opening ceremony of "Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts Days", an event held for the first time on a large scale, bringing together many art forms from traditional to modern, reflecting the rich creativity and deep love of art of the city named after Uncle Ho".

The opening ceremony took place in a bustling atmosphere at the Youth Cultural House, with the participation of more than 500 artists, actors, students. The program opened with the performance of the Ho Chi Minh City Lion - Lion - Dragon Federation, the Vietnam Marching Band for children, circus performances, puppetry, Vovinam martial arts and especially the fashion show "54 ethnic groups" by designer Viet Hung.

The main art part “Ho Chi Minh City - Where Rivers Meet” was jointly staged by Tran Huu Trang Opera House and Ho Chi Minh City art units, recreating the city's 50-year journey of construction and development through music , dance, drama and multimedia performances.

The performance “Singing from the city named after Him” (Cao Viet Bach) by People’s Artist Ta Minh Tam and the Music Art Choir created a sacred and proud atmosphere. Next was the mashup “Ho Chi Minh City - Where the rivers meet” and “New vitality in Uncle Ho’s city”, with the participation of artist Truc Phuong, Mai Trang dance group, Chuong Gio, and Gold Star Kids children, depicting the image of a youthful, dynamic city - a place where cultural flows converge.

Within the framework of “Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts Days”, the Youth Cultural House area becomes a cultural connection space, with thematic exhibition areas: Photo exhibition “50 years of glorious heroic epic”; Book space “Small corner of knowledge”; Exhibition area “City rising up”; Cultural tourism experience area “Ho Chi Minh City: Civilized, modern, affectionate”.

Along with that is a series of rich activities such as a meeting of artists from the Southern Central Bureau Base Area (October 19), an exchange with Professor, Doctor, writer Trinh Quang Phu about the memoir "Following the Footsteps of the People" (October 19), an exchange with Ao Dai designer Trung Dinh (October 21), a cultural and artistic exchange program with Nghe An (October 21), a discussion on "Youthful Literature of the South" (October 21), and stage performances, photography, and fine arts lasting until the end of 2025.

All activities are open to the public, creating conditions for people, students, artists and domestic and foreign tourists to visit, enjoy, exchange and experience the city's unique art.
The events “Conference to Summarize 50 Years of Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts” and “Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts Days” are not only an occasion to summarize and honor, but also open up a new development vision for the city's literature and arts in the integration period.
