Free medical examination and health consultation for nearly 200 people in Binh Phuoc

Nearly 200 people in Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc received free medical examination, health consultation and medicine.

On February 28, in Dong Xoai City, the VNA's Ho Chi Minh City Office in coordination with the VNA's Binh Phuoc Province Office, Binh Phuoc Provincial Police Clinic and Pharmacity Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company organized the program "Doctor Tour - Health Festival" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day.

Staff of Binh Phuoc Provincial Police Clinic receive information from people coming for free medical examination and treatment.

In addition, the program organizers also presented 20 gifts to poor families and 20 scholarships to students who overcame difficulties to study well. The total value of the program's gifts was about 300 million VND.

The program organizes medical examination and treatment, health consultation, support with medicines and essential medical supplies for those in difficult circumstances; communication on prevention of seasonal flu, chronic diseases in the elderly... for about 200 people in Tan Phu Ward (Dong Xoai City).

Through the propaganda programs, the organizers also hope to provide basic medical knowledge to raise people's awareness in disease prevention, promote healthy lifestyles, contribute to improving the quality of life and creating a healthy community.

People receive free medical examination, health consultation and medicine.

Ms. Tran Thi Hai Thuong, Vice Chairwoman of Tan Phu Ward People's Committee, Dong Xoai City, said that in the ward, there are still many farmers who do not really care about their personal health; they often buy medicine based on personal experience to treat themselves whenever they have symptoms of illness.

"Today's program is very practical. We hope that in the future, the locality will continue to welcome meaningful activities like this to contribute to improving community health," Ms. Hai commented.
