Science and technology pave the way for the Signal Corps to move straight to modernity.

Welcoming the delegation, on the side of the Corps were Major General Vu Viet Hoang - Commander of the Corps; Major General Nguyen Van Tri - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Corps and Heads of affiliated agencies and units.

A delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology visited and congratulated the TTLL Corps on the occasion of its 80th anniversary.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung sent his congratulations to the officers and soldiers of the TTLL Corps on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of its glorious tradition, and at the same time acknowledged and appreciated the great contributions of the TTLL force throughout the journey of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that in the new context, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation (KHCN, DMST&CĐS) are the keys for the TTLL Corps to continue to develop and successfully carry out the task of ensuring information in the modern era. The Minister hopes that the Corps will closely coordinate with the Ministry of Science and Technology in implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo , focusing on major orientations such as: building a center for research and development of science and technology, digital transformation; promoting scientific research, closely linking research and practical application; at the same time, implementing the "Digital Popular Education" movements, making an important contribution to building the TTLL Corps to move straight to modernity.

On behalf of the TTLL Corps, Major General Vu Viet Hoang affirmed that the Corps will continue to closely coordinate with functional agencies, research institutes, universities and telecommunications enterprises to develop science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, worthy of being a force that "advances straight to modernity".

The TTLL Corps was established on September 7, 1945, its predecessor was the Military TTLL Department, under the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. Only 2 days later, the Military TTLL Department successfully deployed the radio network and special communication network. That result was a historical milestone and September 9, 1945 became the Traditional Day of the TTLL Corps.

Over 80 years of construction, fighting and growth, the TTLL Army has achieved many feats, excellently completed its tasks in every revolutionary stage, affirming its position as a strong force, always taking the lead in ensuring the TTLL of the Vietnam People's Army.

In recent years, implementing the policy of building a modern military information technology force, the Party Committee and the Command of the Military Information Technology Service have proactively researched, evaluated, forecasted, promptly advised and proposed to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to develop and promulgate relevant legal documents, promulgate the "Strategy for developing the military information technology system for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2045"; planning, converting technology, building and developing a modern and solid military information technology system, meeting the requirements and tasks of building the Army, consolidating national defense, protecting the Fatherland and serving the tasks of developing science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, building e-Government in the Army...

Currently, the task of building the Army and defending the Fatherland has a new development step, setting for the Army Corps very high new goals and requirements along with many issues to be solved. TTLL plays an essential role, not only serving leadership and command but also becoming the fundamental technological infrastructure for the automated command and control system of high-tech weapons such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), missiles, remote-controlled artillery shells... and for electronic warfare, cyber warfare; the foundation for administrative reform, digital transformation, building e-Government in the Army...

With its outstanding achievements, the TTLL Corps was honored to be awarded the title of Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and State twice and many noble awards; 69 collectives and 37 individuals were recognized as Heroes of the People's Armed Forces.
