Launching the Smart City 2025 Innovation Competition

On the morning of October 3, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP) held a ceremony to announce the Smart City 2025 Initiative Competition, aiming to find technological solutions to serve the construction of smart cities, aiming at the goal of digital transformation - green transformation, sustainable development for Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.

The competition is organized by the High-Tech Business Incubator (SHTP-IC) in collaboration with HDFPV LLC.

This year, the competition focuses on finding technology startup projects associated with smart urban construction, in the fields of: artificial intelligence (AI), big data, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, digital platforms, microchip technology, renewable energy, biotechnology and circular economy .

The competition is divided into two groups: The project/startup group includes activities to search for potential projects, training guidance by SHTP-IC's team of experts, from which to build a complete product that can be applied in practice.

At the student board, students will be trained and provided with knowledge and skills on drone control, thereby maximizing creativity and practicing group practice skills.

At the announcement ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Le Quoc Cuong, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, said that in the context of the country's breakthrough with new growth drivers such as digital economy, green economy, circular economy, science and technology and innovation, the High-Tech Park is proud to be the "cradle" of technological ideas, the leading flag in dual transformation (digitalization and greening), towards the first Net-Zero model in the country.

“Smart City 2025 is not only to seek creative ideas, but also to nurture the future, creating an innovative ecosystem that is truly Vietnamese and of international stature. I believe that we will witness the birth of many breakthrough technology startups, many young, creative and courageous citizens, contributing to making Ho Chi Minh City a livable, smart and sustainably developed city,” said Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quoc Cuong.

The final round and exhibition are expected to take place within the framework of Ho Chi Minh City Innovation and Startup Week - Whise 2025. The total prize value is over 100 million VND. In particular, the Top 10 outstanding projects will participate in the high-tech incubation program at SHTP-IC.
