The National Children's Painting Competition and Exhibition is held every two years. This is a national children's art festival, affirming the role of art in aesthetic education and nurturing young talent.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong spoke at the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said: This year's National Children's Painting Competition and Exhibition becomes even more meaningful when it is held on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival - the day of family reunion, the day when children across the country are cared for, loved and cherished. This is not only a useful art playground for children but also a humane spiritual gift for them - the future buds of the country.
The contest also once again affirms the deep concern of the Party, State, all levels, sectors and the whole society in caring for, discovering and nurturing artistic talents for the young generation, contributing to nurturing the soul, educating aesthetics and building good personalities for children right from childhood.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong and delegates presented the first prize to the winning author.
According to Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, this year, the Organizing Committee was deeply moved to receive nearly 30,000 entries from children from 32 provinces and cities across the country. Each painting is a story, an innocent, pure and creative perspective on life, family love, school, homeland, country, environment, childhood dreams and aspirations. Through each stroke, each color, we can feel the rich imagination, independent thinking and emotional soul of the children.
Delegates awarded second prizes to the winning authors.
"I would like to congratulate the children who won the prizes, as well as all the children who submitted their paintings to the contest this year. You are young artists full of talent and promise. Today's achievement is not only a worthy reward for your efforts, but also a motivation for you to continue pursuing your passion for art, cultivating a beautiful soul and personality" - Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong emphasized.
This year's competition is for children aged 5 to 15, with works created between 2023 and 2025, creating an opportunity for them to express their passion and painting ability.
Delegates awarded third prizes to the winning authors.
After more than three months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 29,626 works from children from 32 out of 34 provinces and cities. The Art Council selected 359 works from 332 authors for display; of which 39 outstanding works were awarded, including 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 10 third prizes, 20 consolation prizes and 5 collective prizes, reflecting the rich creativity and remarkable artistic quality of the children.
Delegates awarded consolation prizes to the winning authors.
The exhibited works vividly express love for family, homeland, nature and innocent dreams of childhood, while also reflecting the children's social awareness of issues such as environmental protection and prevention of school violence, showing the young generation's concern for the challenges of modern life.
This result demonstrates the strong development of children's fine arts, and affirms the attention of the Party, State, all levels, sectors and the whole society in caring for and nurturing artistic talents for the young generation.
