Launching the 2026 National English Champion Festival

Young Pioneer and Children Newspapers in collaboration with the Edupia Online Education System, under the professional advice of the National Foreign Language Project Management Board (Ministry of Education and Training) announced the rules of the 2026 National English Champion Festival.

The new feature of the 2026 National English Champion Festival is that it will be organized using artificial intelligence technology through the AI ​​Speak feature of the Edupia AI Class application, the first AI-based English class in Vietnam.

AI Speak provides a realistic simulation environment for students to practice, reflect and apply English naturally, thereby forming effective self-study skills and preparing a solid foundation for the international integration process.

Journalist Nguyen Phan Khue, member of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers and Editor-in-Chief of the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper, said that the 2026 National English Champion Festival promises to be a meaningful journey for participating students. The competition will fuel the passion for learning, arouse the spirit of integration and nurture a generation of confident, courageous Vietnamese students, ready to reach international standards.

The program consists of 3 main rounds: Speak up with AI Speak (from October 2025 - February 2026): Candidates register for free, practice and compete on the AI ​​Speak feature. The results of this round are the basis for selecting candidates to move on to the next round.

My school, my Vietnam (from February to March 2026): Candidates make an English video clip (from 3 to 5 minutes) on the topic announced by the organizer.

National Finals (March 2026): Gathering the best contestants from all over the country. The highest prize is a study trip to Singapore.

In parallel with the competition rounds, the program launched the "Light the Fire" journey, taking place in 15 provinces and cities representing 3 regions to spread the movement of self-studying English in and out of school for primary and secondary school students nationwide.

In particular, the organizers will award more than 400,000 "Light the Fire" scholarships in the form of courses on the Edupia AI Class platform for students in localities with difficult economic conditions such as Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Ca Mau, and Dong Thap.

The total expected value of scholarships is over 978.7 billion VND.
