In another development, Nutifood bought more shares from many other shareholders and held 51% of KidoFoods shares in September 2024, then announced that it would become the parent company of KidoFoods.

Ice Cream Brand War Over?
During this period, the market paid attention to the "scandal" between Kido and related parties regarding the use of the Merino and Celano brands.
In the last months of 2024, after having a new executive board, KidoFoods invested heavily to promote the Celano brand, especially the campaign using the top stars of the show Anh Trai Say Hi to promote such as HIEUTHUHAI, Quang Hung MasterD, Duong Domic, JSOL and Hurrykng.
Although the ownership ratio is no longer dominant, a Kido representative said that the Merino and Celano brands that KidoFoods is using for business are still brands owned by this group.
After a series of controversies related to Kido's lawsuit regarding the request to apply temporary emergency measures "Prohibiting or forcing certain acts" to Kido Foods, Dat Viet Media and reviewing related evidence, Kido has now decided to divest all capital at KidoFoods.
This move comes as the group is making big plans related to AI. Kido is known to have just joined hands with a Chinese partner to establish a joint venture AIRO, with Kido owning 51% of the capital and 49% from Yuguang Tongchen (China).
