Launching the Global Data Professionals Network

(Dan Tri) - On October 16, in Hue, the National Data Association coordinated with the People's Committee of Hue City to co-organize the announcement ceremony of the Global Data Experts Network (VDEN) initiated by the association.

The establishment of the Global Data Experts Network is considered a strategic step, in line with international trends and the development orientation of Vietnam's digital economy .

The announcement program not only marks the beginning of a global knowledge network of Vietnamese people in the field of data, but also demonstrates the strategic vision of the National Data Association in connecting people - technology - knowledge, making Vietnam a dynamic center of the regional and world data economy.

An important milestone in building Vietnam's data economy

Speaking at the event, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, Director of the National Data Center and Vice President of the National Data Association, said the announcement of the Global Data Experts Network is an important milestone in the journey of building a Vietnamese data economy, demonstrating the determination to turn data from potential into development reality.

The global network of data experts was formed with the goal of connecting Vietnamese intelligence at home and abroad, sharing initiatives, experiences and knowledge to promote the development of an autonomous, creative and internationally integrated data economy.

VDEN is built on the basis of a close relationship between "4 houses": State - business - academia - experts to optimize technology human resources, promote research capacity, and apply data into practice.

In addition, the network will also play an advisory role, providing advice on national data policies and standards, through providing advice to management agencies, proposing legal frameworks and technical standards, as well as encouraging the development of new data projects and products.

VDEN will train and develop high-quality human resources through workshops, training and professional guidance for the next generation of data experts.

VDEN is operated based on 5 principles, including: Voluntariness - cooperation - mutual development; transparency - responsibility - integrity; science - quality - continuous innovation; security - respect for privacy - compliance with the law; global connection - promoting Vietnamese identity.

Currently, the network has committed to participate from more than 80 experts from many countries around the world such as Korea, USA, Japan, Canada, Australia...

“The National Data Center and the National Data Association are committed to being a trusted companion, creating the best conditions for the team of experts to devote themselves. Together we will write golden pages for the Vietnamese data economy,” Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong emphasized.

Within the framework of the event, Major Dao Duc Trieu, General Secretary of the National Data Association, announced the decision to establish the Global Data Experts Network.

Data and technology are the future growth drivers

At this event, Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines, was appointed Vice Chairman of the Global Data Experts Network.

Emphasizing that the power of science, technology and data is only meaningful when transformed into values ​​serving humanity, the Vice President of VDEN committed to accompanying and actively contributing with the National Data Association and the Expert Network in the journey of developing the Vietnamese data ecosystem.

“From Hue, the flame of Vietnamese knowledge has been lit. From VDEN, Vietnamese intelligence has been connected. We are ready to share resources, experiences, and technological infrastructure; as well as create conditions for domestic and foreign experts to cooperate and apply knowledge into practice for socio-economic development.
