Checking the work of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters at Van Ho Regional General Hospital - Thao Nguyen facility

On October 6, comrade Nguyen Duc Toan, Director of the Department of Health, and the working group inspected the situation and directed the overcoming of the consequences of storm No. 11 at Van Ho Regional General Hospital - Thao Nguyen facility.

According to the Hospital's report, due to the impact of storm No. 11, there was heavy rain in the area, the rainwater rose high, causing the walls of houses near the Hospital to collapse, flooding many areas in the hospital grounds, causing the Pharmacy Department, Examination Department, Surgery Department and Obstetrics Department to be flooded; many medical equipment were damaged such as: Patient monitoring monitors, Oxygen generator , Defibrillator and pacemaker , Extracorporeal lithotripsy system , General ultrasound machine, Dehumidifier for ENT clinic , Ultrasound machine for Eye clinic , ENT examination and treatment set... Many medicines and facilities were damaged. Estimated total damage is over 8.8 billion VND.

With the motto "where the water recedes, the environment will be cleaned up", immediately after the incident, the government of Thao Nguyen ward coordinated with officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, the Defense Command of Region 4 - Moc Chau and the on-site forces of the Hospital to move equipment, clean up, drain water, overcome the consequences, mobilize maximum staff to participate in cleaning up the environment, overcoming the damage, ensuring that medical examination and treatment activities for people are not interrupted.

After inspecting the actual situation, the Director of the Department of Health requested the Hospital to urgently overcome the consequences, quickly stabilize medical examination and treatment activities; continue to closely monitor the development of natural disasters, proactively deploy response plans according to the "four on-site" motto, ensuring effectiveness and timeliness; organize 24/24 hours on-duty and strictly implement the reporting regime according to regulations.
