The contest is directed by the Central Steering Committee 35, chaired by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the Central Theoretical Council, the Communist Magazine, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam Journalists Association , for first-time creative political works, with 5 categories: magazine, newspaper, radio, television, and video clip.

Lai Chau province has 2 works winning prizes at the Contest.

Surpassing more than 540,000 entries nationwide, Lai Chau province had 2 works honored and won Encouragement prizes in 2 categories: Magazine category with the work "Protecting the Party's ideology at the "fence" of the Fatherland" by the group of authors Pham Hong Truong, Nguyen Thi Chanh (Office of the Provincial People's Committee); Radio category with the work "One heart following the Party" by the group of authors Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha, Nguyen Ngoc Truyen, Nguyen The Tiep, Nguyen Trong Quan, Nguyen Tien Sy (Lai Chau Newspaper and Radio, Television).

The above results demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and strong political will of the propaganda team in the border province of Lai Chau, affirming the close leadership role of the Steering Committee 35 of Lai Chau province, the core force on the ideological front, contributing to consolidating the people's hearts and minds in the border area, thereby continuously enhancing trust and social consensus, spreading ideological values, beliefs and aspirations for development under the light of the Party.

The 5th Political Contest to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation was launched at the 4th Award Ceremony (October 20, 2024) and will last until June 2025, attracting nearly 542,000 entries, an increase of more than 73,000 entries compared to the previous year. According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, this year's Contest marked a high level of socialization, rich and diverse content; many entries were published and broadcast widely on various forms of press, radio, television and cyberspace, creating positive effects, improving the quality and effectiveness of propaganda work.

From the final round, the Organizing Committee considered and awarded 137 individual prizes in 5 categories: Magazine, newspaper, radio, television, video clip; 20 Promising prizes for young writers who are union members and youth; 20 Outstanding Collective prizes for units and localities with many outstanding activities; and prizes for outstanding senior and junior authors.

He affirmed that the Contest has become an important forum to spread trust, arouse responsibility, and strengthen political mettle in the whole society.

He requested that Provincial Party Committees, Municipal Party Committees, Party Committees directly under the Central Committee, Steering Committee 35 at all levels, departments, ministries, branches and localities continue to promote the spirit of creativity and initiative, organize diverse, practical and effective forms of participation. At the same time, Central and local press agencies need to step up propaganda, disseminate excellent works, create motivation, inspire, strongly encourage the political writing movement, contribute to firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation, so that the contest will spread deeper and further, becoming a sustainable revolutionary action movement in the whole society.
