On February 10, the public witnessed two main fighter models from the US and Russia appearing together at the Indian air show (Aero India 2025).
The first day of the five-day air show in India saw the F-35 (US) and Su-57 (Russia) perform aerial displays. The simultaneous appearance of the two aircraft became one of the highlights of the opening day, as this was the first time two main fighters from two leading military powers met each other. The exhibition took place at the Yelahanka air base in the Indian city of Bengaluru.

According to The Economics Times , both the F-35 and Su-57 wowed the audience at the show with their short take-off and maneuverability. The Indian Ministry of Defense said the Su-57 would provide visitors with “high-speed aerial displays and tactical demonstrations highlighting its agility, stealth, and firepower.” Meanwhile, the F-35 was described as “the most widely available fifth-generation fighter, integrating advanced stealth, situational awareness, and superior cyber warfare capabilities.”

Both the US and Russia are keen to increase military cooperation with India and the exhibition is also important as New Delhi plans to buy more than 100 multi-role fighters, a move that will attract many major defense contractors. This is also the first time the Su-57 has been introduced at an exhibition in India.
Aero India 2025 is also a place for India to display its aircraft and weapons models, as well as for many defense companies to introduce weapons and equipment to approach potential customers.
Two models of the Air Lora hypersonic missile and the Wind Demon air-to-ground cruise missile of Israel Aerospace Industries were displayed at the exhibition.
