- According to information from Lang Son Electricity Company, as of the morning of October 8, due to the impact of storm No. 11 (Matmo), on October 6 and 7, there was prolonged heavy rain in the province, causing flooding in many communes. In response to such incidents, Lang Son Electricity Company has cut off power to ensure people's safety. As a result, more than 41,600 customers in the province are without power.
The largest number of customers without power was in Huu Lung district (old) with nearly 20,000 customers; Trang Dinh district (old) had more than 10,000 customers. Lang Son Electricity Company has made efforts to fix the problems, thereby by the morning of October 8, the electricity industry had restored power to more than 3,600 customers. However, due to the complicated flooding situation, the number of customers without power is still high.

Currently, the leaders of Lang Son Electricity Company have directed the regional electricity management teams to mobilize 100% of their staff and proactively provide materials and equipment to fix the problem points on the power grid system, and at the same time organize a general inspection of the power grid system so that as soon as the water recedes, power can be restored to customers when safety conditions are ensured.
It is known that, implementing the direction of the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) and the People's Committee of Lang Son province on proactively responding to storms in 2025, Lang Son Power Company has directed all of the company's forces to regularly inspect the operation of the power grid during storms; organize standby forces, prepare adequate human resources, materials, and means to handle incidents when they occur, and implement the "4 on-site" motto to promptly overcome and quickly handle electrical incidents, thereby ensuring stable power supply for electricity customers in Lang Son province.
