Tien Phuoc district leaders dialogue with cooperatives and cooperative groups

In recent times, the development of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and start-up models in Tien Phuoc district has had many positive changes, participating in poverty reduction, creating jobs for members and workers. However, the number of large-scale cooperatives and expanded production is still small; newly established cooperatives are not high, and have not achieved the expected results of the district.

Currently, the district has 66 cooperatives and 15 cooperative groups; 41 products/29 entities including 5 enterprises, 21 cooperatives and 3 cooperative groups are recognized as provincial-level OCOP products (of which 5 products have achieved 4 stars).

At the dialogue conference, representatives of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and start-up models raised difficulties and obstacles in the operation process and recommended that the district pay attention to supporting industrial promotion mechanisms so that cooperatives and cooperative groups can improve product quality and increase competitiveness in the market; and pay attention to investing and upgrading facilities displaying OCOP products.

Cooperatives and cooperative groups want to be equipped with knowledge about digital transformation in business; guided and supported to improve capacity to complete documents, reduce costs when participating in OCOP; have policies and mechanisms to support additional preferential loans for businesses and cooperatives because the current level of 200 million VND is low...

All questions and recommendations were answered clearly and to the point by the district leaders and agencies. Mr. Phan Van Duong - Standing Deputy Secretary of Tien Phuoc District Party Committee requested that agencies, departments and localities continue to pay attention to creating favorable conditions for cooperatives, cooperatives, enterprises and start-ups to develop production and increase product value.

Mr. Duong affirmed that the district will always stand side by side with cooperatives, cooperative groups, start-up models, and business startups; always considering the success of these units an important part in the district's socio -economic development.
