Hanoi City leaders offer incense in memory of late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

Kinhtedothi - On the afternoon of March 12, a delegation of the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee came to offer incense to commemorate the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at his private residence, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025).

The delegation was led by Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi City Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai and other city leaders offered incense in memory of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Late General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Phu Trong was born on April 14, 1944 (in Lai Da village, Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi). During his 80 years of life and 57 years of Party membership, in various positions serving the Party, the country and the people, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong made exceptionally outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation in many aspects. He is a shining example of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; a staunch communist with great prestige for the Party, the State and the people, possessing all the qualities, talent, mettle and intelligence of a Vietnamese leader in the renovation period.

During his life of complete and glorious dedication, the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong spent more than 8 years working at the Hanoi Party Committee, including 1 year and 7 months (from August 1996 to February 1998) as Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, concurrently Head of the University Personnel Committee and directly in charge of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and 6 and a half years (from January 2000 to June 2006) as Secretary of the Party Committee. The land of thousands of years of culture and heroes, where the souls of the mountains and rivers have been preserved for thousands of years, has nurtured and molded Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, and he himself has made the capital famous and become the pride of the capital.

Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai and the delegation respectfully offered incense to commemorate the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, expressing gratitude for his great contributions to the capital and the country.
