Incense offering and flag raising ceremony to open the Do Son buffalo fighting festival 2025 with the wish for a festival season with favorable weather, and for the fights to take place safely, excitingly and attractively.

Delegates and the Organizing Committee offered incense at Nghe Temple, Do Son Ward.

On the morning of September 22, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Do Son Traditional Buffalo Fighting Festival held an incense offering and flag raising ceremony to open the festival at Nghe Temple and Nam Hai Than Vuong Temple (Hon Dau Island).

Attending the festival were leaders of Do Son and Nam Do Son wards and 16 buffalo owners.

The organizing committee performed the flag-raising ceremony at Nghe Temple, Do Son Ward.

At Nghe Temple and Nam Hai Than Vuong Temple, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates offered incense and performed flag-raising ceremonies to open the festival. This is the opening ceremony for the final round of the Do Son Traditional Buffalo Fighting Festival 2025 with the hope of a festival season with favorable weather, and safe, exciting and attractive competitions.

Immediately after the incense offering and flag raising ceremony at Nghe Temple and Nam Hai Than Vuong Temple, the festival organizing committee organized 3 delegations including local leaders and people to attend the incense offering and flag raising ceremony at Ngoc Xuyen communal house, Nam communal house, and Ngoc Hai communal house in Do Son ward.

The organizers rang the bell of Nam Hai Than Vuong temple on Hon Dau island.

After the incense offering and flag raising ceremony, the water procession will take place on September 28 (ie August 7 of the lunar calendar) at Nghe Temple. The divine ceremony will be held on the night of September 29 (ie August 8 of the lunar calendar) at Nghe Temple and the central stadium of Do Son ward. The buffalo sacrifice ceremony will take place at the central stadium of Do Son ward and the god worship ceremony at the communal houses of the wards with winning buffaloes will take place on October 1 (ie August 10 of the lunar calendar). The god sending ceremony will end the series of festivals on October 7 (ie August 16 of the lunar calendar) at Nghe Temple.

The festival will take place on September 30 at the central stadium of Do Son ward. 16 "buffaloes" will bring visitors and people exciting and fierce fights.
