The lacquer painting "Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence" by artist Chu Nhat Quang is 2.4m x 7.2m in size, weighs 3 tons, completed on a two-sided lacquer panel, unassembled - a technique that requires skillful craftsmanship and creativity. The first side of the work recreates the entire scene of President
Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945, the sacred moment of the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The second side, titled "National Spring", expresses the joy and pride of the Vietnamese people in the journey of building and defending the Fatherland, symbolizing the bridge between the past, present and future, when the country enters the Spring of Independence, Freedom and Happiness. Previously, on September 3, 2025, at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Guinness World Records Organization conducted an inspection and set a record for this large-sized, unassembled lacquer painting. The work was displayed at the "Independence Spring" Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, attracting special attention from the public and the art world.
