The whole province currently has 387 villages meeting the standards of “New Rural Village”, 533 villages meeting the standards of “Model Village”, of which 132 villages are in extremely disadvantaged and border communes. Up to now, 37/89 communes of the province have met the standards of new rural areas, accounting for 41.6% of the total number of communes, of which Quy Mong commune has met the standards of advanced new rural areas.
At the same time, the movement to build a cultural life continues to be promoted, with over 85.5% of households achieving cultural titles, 77.5% of villages and residential groups achieving cultural titles; 100% of residential areas have issued and implemented village and community regulations.
Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the province will continue to effectively implement the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in patriotic emulation movements and social security activities. At the same time, innovate propaganda methods, take advantage of digital platforms and social networks to spread good models and creative ways of doing things; promote the role of the people according to the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people check, people supervise, people benefit".
Along with that, localities continue to widely deploy typical movements such as: "All people unite to build a cultural life", "All people protect national security", "All people collect and treat household waste", "Move fences - donate land", "Each person - each day one task, contribute to cleaning the environment", contributing to building new rural areas in Lao Cai to be increasingly sustainable, civilized and rich in identity.
