On the morning of October 14, at the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo 's decision to appoint the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the Secretary and Deputy Secretaries of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee - on behalf of the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo's decisions to transfer, assign and appoint Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province - to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Accordingly, along with appointing Mr. Tran Luu Quang as Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the Politburo also decided to appoint Deputy Secretaries of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, including: Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Mr. Dang Minh Thong and Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet.

Mr. Le Quoc Phong was born in 1978, hometown Hanoi, professional qualifications: PhD in biotechnology, master's degree in biochemistry, bachelor's degree in biology, senior degree in political theory.

Before becoming the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Mr. Le Quoc Phong held many positions in the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, the Central Youth Union, Dong Thap province and participated in the Party Central Committee of the 12th and 13th terms.

Mr. Le Quoc Phong has a process of studying, working and growing up from the Youth Union movement in Ho Chi Minh City. He participated in the Youth Union activities since he was a student at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, studied and worked at the University of Natural Sciences - Ho Chi Minh City National University.
