At around 7am, thousands of people and tourists gathered at the Front Beach area to wait for the procession of Whales returning from the sea.
Like every year, in addition to traditional rituals such as: Welcoming the Whale from the sea to the Thang Tam Temple, the ceremony to worship the ancestors and heroic martyrs, the ceremony to invite the divine decree to the Nam Hai Ong Tomb, the ceremony to worship Nam Hai Ong, the ceremony to build the great altar... people and tourists can also enjoy many cultural activities during the festival such as: watching Ba Trao singing, Boi singing, ancient plays, lion and dragon dances.

Among them, the Whale Welcome Ceremony on the sea and the procession marching along the route of Quang Trung - Truong Cong Dinh - Hoang Hoa Tham to Thang Tam Temple are awaited by many locals and tourists. The participants of the procession transformed into sea creatures (shrimp, crab, fish, squid...) simulating the boat, whale and giant kite. Wherever the procession went, the sound of gongs, five-tone music and lion and dragon dances paved the way, creating a bustling atmosphere that lasted for kilometers.
Speaking at this event, Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban, Secretary of the Vung Tau Ward Party Committee, emphasized that the Nghinh Ong Thang Tam Vung Tau Festival in 2025 is one of the typical traditional festivals, and at the same time is the first national intangible cultural heritage organized in the ward in the new development period. This is also a key cultural and tourism event of Ho Chi Minh City, included in the series of major city-level festival activities in 2025.

Through a series of rich activities, from traditional rituals to the festival with cultural, sports , culinary, and artistic programs, the festival has contributed to building Ho Chi Minh City into an "international, dynamic, creative, modern, and unique tourist destination"; at the same time affirming the Nghinh Ong Thang Tam Festival as a unique festival tourism product of Ho Chi Minh City.
