On the afternoon of September 14, Secretary of the Vung Tau Ward Party Committee (HCMC) Nguyen Tan Ban and relevant agencies conducted a field survey at the project to renovate Thuy Van Street (Thuy Van Park - Bai Sau) to find solutions to ensure security, order and safety for the project.
According to the leaders of Vung Tau ward, the project has just been put into operation, the acceptance work is being carried out by the Vung Tau Area Investment and Construction Management Board. However, many residents and tourists lack awareness in maintaining security, order and environmental sanitation, making the image of the large-scale marine park with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND become uncivilized.

Previously, the press had reported the current situation: since the basic items of Thuy Van Park were completed, especially on the occasion of National Day September 2 when Tam Thang Tower was put into use, the park has attracted a lot of people and tourists. However, along with the attraction, the project also revealed many shortcomings in management.
The park is planned for sports activities, walking, cycling, and safe play for children. However, many people still drive motorbikes and electric bicycles into the park, weaving through the pedestrian traffic despite the fence. Many parents are worried about having to avoid reckless motorbikes while taking their children to play. Some coastal areas also have tables and chairs, street vendors, and littering, which is unsightly.
After the survey, Vung Tau ward held a meeting to discuss solutions, focusing on thoroughly handling the situation of motorbikes and electric vehicles running into the park, street vending and littering. Specialized departments proposed mobilizing social resources, assigning a private unit to manage the park, organize parking lots, handle violations, and at the same time ensure a clean environment.

Vung Tau Ward Party Secretary Nguyen Tan Ban emphasized: the project to renovate Thuy Van Street has not been accepted yet, but management work must be implemented immediately to maintain aesthetics, security and order.
“In response to the press, we have taken note and will soon come up with a solution. Although the park is nearly 3km long, it must be dealt with thoroughly, not allowing motorbikes, bicycles, and electric vehicles to enter; not allowing street vendors to cause chaos; and the environment must always be clean,” Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban affirmed.
