26-year-old 'descendant' of artist Binh Tinh

Audiences who love the Huynh Long classical opera troupe all know the famous roles of the late artist Chinh Nhan, as well as the fact that he won the gold medal at the Tran Huu Trang award in 1996. Currently, his son is following in his father's footsteps and that of his aunt Ut Binh Tinh.

Many people often see Bella Cat Tien (10 years old) - Binh Tinh's daughter, but few people know that Binh Tinh also has a 26-year-old adopted son. That is Nguyen Nhan Ngoc Cuong (born in 1999), graduated from Hoa Sen University, and is following in the footsteps of artist Binh Tinh by participating in many artistic activities.

In fact, Ngoc Cuong is the son of the late artist Chinh Nhan, the real brother of Binh Tinh. Looking at the picture, the audience will realize that Ngoc Cuong's face is very similar to his father - artist Chinh Nhan when he was still alive.

When artist Chinh Nhan passed away in 2016 due to a serious illness, Ngoc Cuong was in 11th grade. Feeling sorry for her orphaned nephew, Ut Binh Tinh asked her sister-in-law, artist Bao Ngoc (Ngoc Cuong's mother) and her brother's spirit to let her adopt Ngoc Cuong. With her sister-in-law's consent, Ngoc Cuong has been living with Binh Tinh and her grandmother Bach Mai since then.

Binh Tinh said: "When Bach Mai's mother was still alive, she also really wanted Ngoc Cuong to continue the family lineage. However, my son and I agreed that we must focus on studying culture, finish university and then consider participating in the arts. That's why Ngoc Cuong entered the profession late, it's only in the past 2 years that he has made progress in his career and started to be noticed by the audience...".

Binh Tinh shed tears when Ngoc Cuong interacted with the three Chinh Nhan on screen.

After graduating from university, Ngoc Cuong attended the drama class of Meritorious Artist Huu Chau and joined the Truong Hung Minh Drama Theater to play small roles. In 2024, Ngoc Cuong had a chance to act in the cinema when he participated in the 8-episode web drama Sau Rieng (produced by artist Ngoc Huyen).

More surprisingly, Ngoc Cuong's first role in his career was nominated for the Green Star Award. Although he did not win the award, this was a great honor for the actor who had just entered the film industry. After this role, Ngoc Cuong continued to be chosen to play Dang in the 8-episode web drama Loving each other on a warm sunny day by director Nguyen Thanh Nam, which is currently being shown.

Recently, during the Huynh Long troupe's death anniversary at Hong Lien stage, many people were surprised and artist Binh Tinh burst into tears when she saw Ngoc Cuong appear on stage in the final performance in traditional costumes, directed by the director - People's Artist Huu Quoc, so that Ngoc Cuong could interact with Chinh Nhan's father through the screen. Those were film clips from the play "The Queen's Injustice" that when he was alive, artist Chinh Nhan and Binh Tinh performed together. Not only did Ngoc Cuong sing a few lines, he also danced exactly like the late artist Chinh Nhan. The performance also had the participation of little Bella Cat Tien, making Binh Tinh feel like she saw the image of herself and her brother on stage again.

Binh Tinh was moved: "Before this show took place, my adoptive father Kim Tu Long and I had a tour in Australia. All the rehearsals for the show were handled by director Huu Quoc. It was Huu Quoc and the artists in the troupe who secretly taught Ngoc Cuong singing and dancing so that she could live with the family's traditional theater. Until the official show, when the last act took place, I was surprised and stunned to see my child grow up. I am truly happy to have two descendants, my daughters Bella Cat Tien and Ngoc Cuong."

Currently, Ngoc Cuong is rehearsing the play Million Dollar Girl on Truong Hung Minh Drama Stage with a "fleshy" role with many personalities.

"In addition to performing arts, Ngoc Cuong also helps his mother in business. It's too early to talk about the future, but seeing my son being filial, especially loving his job, I feel very secure. I let him choose his own future path, without interfering. Because he loves dancing, acting, filming or singing reformed opera, they are all arts. And when it comes to art, they are all equally precious...", Binh Tinh confided.
