According to the draw results, U23 Vietnam fell into group B of men's football at ASIAD 19 with Mongolia, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

According to the schedule, Vietnam Olympic will face Mongolia (September 19), Iran (September 21) and Saudi Arabia (September 24).

Men's football at ASIAD 19 has a total of 6 groups with 23 teams (5 groups with 4 teams and 1 group with 3 teams), competing in a round robin to calculate points.

The 12 group winners and runners-up, along with the four best third-place teams, will advance.

On September 13, Coach Hoang Anh Tuan announced the list of 24 players preparing for ASIAD 19.

On September 16, the whole team will leave Vietnam for Hangzhou (China) to attend this tournament.
