Liverpool is the 'graveyard' of MU coaches

Ruben Amorim has to face the "Anfield curse" as Liverpool often becomes a nightmare for generations of MU coaches.

Coach Amorim needs to break the Anfield curse to help MU come back strong.

Over the past decade, almost every manager who has sat in the hot seat at Old Trafford has seen a tragic turn of events after a trip to Merseyside. David Moyes was sacked 37 days after a 3-0 defeat, Louis van Gaal lost his job less than 10 weeks after a 2-0 defeat.

Next, Jose Mourinho lasted only 2 more days after the 1-3 loss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lost his seat within 4 weeks after the 0-5 loss, Ralf Rangnick left 40 days after the 0-4 loss, and Erik ten Hag was fired 57 days after the 0-3 loss.

On the day Ten Hag suffered a 3-0 defeat at Anfield, CEO Omar Berrada assured him that "the manager has the full support of the club". Eight weeks later, Ten Hag was sacked. It all started with a 7-0 defeat in March 2023, which marked the start of United's worst run of form in 34 years.

Worse, MU have gone 10 consecutive games without a win at Anfield. This is the worst run of results in the history of the Old Trafford club on Merseyside. The last time they triumphed here was in January 2016.

Since 2016, they have scored just three goals in 10 away games at Anfield, losing 3-20 on aggregate. However, coach Amorim has the right to hope because Arne Slot's Liverpool are also out of rhythm after losing three consecutive games in all competitions.

Anfield is not only a challenge but also a mirror reflecting the fate of MU over the past decade. And this Sunday night, Amorim will find out whether he can break the curse, or become the next victim on the list of deaths at Anfield.
