Quy Mong Commune Fatherland Front: Close to the people, by the people, for the people

After arranging and operating the two-level local government model, the requirement for the grassroots political system is to both improve management efficiency and maintain the great national unity bloc. In that context, the Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Mong commune has promoted its core role, becoming a reliable bridge between the Party, the government and the people, contributing to promoting socio-economic development.

Quy Mong has a large area and people's lives are still difficult, so the Commune Fatherland Front determined the key task is to strengthen the great national unity bloc.

Immediately after the merger, the Commune Fatherland Front organized many dialogue conferences and directly contacted people in 30/30 villages. Legitimate opinions were compiled, reflected and resolved promptly, preventing hot spots from arising, strengthening people's trust.

The “Skilled Mass Mobilization” movement is linked to socio -economic development tasks, solving practical problems. A typical example is the mobilization of land clearance for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong high-speed railway project, the section passing through the commune is 10.8 km long, affecting 351 households.

With the motto "close to the people, by the people, for the people", the Vietnam Fatherland Front cadres went to each household to propagate, have public dialogue, and clearly explain the compensation policy.

At first, my family was worried because the area of ​​land to be recovered was large. But with the regular explanations from the Front officials, we were reassured and determined to hand it over on time.

Thanks to the drastic participation, 100% of affected households agreed, no petitions were issued, clearly demonstrating the effectiveness of mass mobilization work.

At the same time, the Commune Fatherland Front has actively mobilized the people's strength and spread the patriotic emulation movement. The campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" has received strong response from the people.

Dozens of kilometers of roads have been solidified, many flower roads and electric lighting lines have been formed; 25/30 villages have met the standards of model new rural areas.

Movements to protect the environment and practice civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, and festivals are strictly maintained, contributing to changing the face of the countryside.

Social security and livelihood support are also focused on. Many poor and near-poor households are supported to build and repair houses; dozens of livelihood models have been formed, typically: raising buffaloes and cows for breeding; growing organic cinnamon; growing mulberry to raise silkworms; growing Bat Do bamboo shoots; raising bees for honey... From the "For the Poor" Fund and the companionship of businesses, many households have more capital for production and have risen out of poverty.

In 2024, the commune reduced the number of poor households by nearly 3%, many households became well-off, affirming the sustainability of the models.

At the same time, replicate movements and models of skillful mass mobilization, support livelihoods, and arouse the will to rise up of all classes of people" - Ms. Le Thi Lua said.

The Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Mong commune has been promoting its core role in uniting and gathering the people, becoming a solid bridge between the Party, the government and the people. Being close to the people, for the people, has helped the Front consolidate trust, arouse the people's strength, and contribute to building a great national unity bloc - the foundation for Quy Mong to develop sustainably in the new period.
