These trips not only help artists record realistic and vivid images of life, people and nature, but also open up a new perspective on Dong Nai land after the province's merger.
Marking the beauty of the borderland
During their journeys to explore reality, Dong Nai artists have visited many localities such as Loc Ninh, Phuoc Long, Bu Gia Map, Bom Bo... These are lands associated with many famous landmarks, imbued with national cultural identity. In each place they passed, the photographers recorded simple everyday moments, filled with human love.
That is the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers guiding ethnic minority children to study; the story of soldiers participating in border patrols; the eyes and bright smiles of Stieng ethnic children or the image of border officers and soldiers giving gifts to ethnic minority people; beautiful scenes of the homeland such as: Thac Mo Hydroelectric Plant, Dak Mai waterfall, vital traffic routes...
On October 8, Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association launched the Movement of Composing and Promoting Literary and Artistic Works to Encourage Patriotic Emulation Movements for members of professional boards. In particular, the association requested members to closely follow the reality of social life, vividly reflect the innovation and development of Dong Nai province; encourage and honor patriotic emulation movements, introduce and spread examples of good people, good deeds, and advanced models with many contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Sharing about his journey of penetrating reality, young photographer Vu Son Lam said: Every trip, every experience becomes a precious piece in the overall picture of his homeland and country. The new lands of Dong Nai that he set foot on after the province's merger are not only imbued with historical imprints and rich cultural identity, but also radiate the new vitality of today's people. The artists not only brought back beautiful photos and paintings, but more importantly, brought back emotions, understanding and pride.
“In reality, creation is not simply a journey of filming but an opportunity to pay tribute to the silent sacrifices, foster national pride and inspire creativity for artists. From there, it affirms that art does not only stop at reflecting beauty but also carries within it the mission of preserving, reminding and inspiring future generations” - Mr. Lam shared.
Promote and spread the image of new Dong Nai
Vice President of Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association Pham Van Hoang said: Field trips are annual professional activities, an opportunity for artists to express their love for their homeland through art. Each photo, each frame contains a story about the people, the vitality and aspirations of Dong Nai in the new period. Through delving into the lives of the people, artists have the opportunity to exchange, learn, strengthen solidarity; at the same time, find a rich source of creative inspiration, spreading art to the public.
Currently, many works of the Photography Board members of Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association have been widely introduced on social networking platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, and the province's electronic information pages. Many works have participated in art photography exhibitions, serving the political tasks and spiritual life of the people, contributing to promoting the image of a new, dynamic and rich Dong Nai.
Photographer Nguyen Van Thuong, Executive Committee member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in charge of the Southeast region, shared: “The new Dong Nai after the merger is a land with a lot of potential to develop and promote images through artistic photography. With the advantages of the border, Hoa Lu International Border Gate, Cat Tien National Park, Long Thanh International Airport, along with a system of rivers, lakes, rapids and diverse ecological areas, this place has all the elements to become a source of inspiration for artists in and outside the province.”
