Forum to find breakthrough solutions
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Vice President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance Dinh Hong Thai said that, in carrying out the tasks assigned by the Party and the State, in recent times, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance has proactively deployed many practical and effective activities to promote the application of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the collective economic sector and cooperatives.

Although initial positive results have been achieved, it must be frankly admitted that the process of promoting digital transformation for cooperatives and cooperative members in rural and mountainous areas still faces many difficulties and challenges in terms of awareness, technical infrastructure, resources and especially implementation methods.

To solve these problems, the Vice President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance believes that today's conference is an important forum for us to evaluate the results achieved, draw lessons and discuss and exchange to find breakthrough solutions.
With a receptive spirit, the Vice President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance hopes to receive valuable contributions from experts, scientists, businesses, managers and cooperatives on practical and highly applicable solutions to help cooperatives overcome difficulties and seize opportunities for development.

At the conference, delegates discussed 9 key contents, focusing on digital transformation solutions in cooperatives; application of artificial intelligence (AI) in production and management; development of smart new rural areas; and a summary of 4 months of operating the e-commerce platform "Online product market vcamart.vn" for cooperative members and ethnic minorities.

Nghe An identifies 5 basic solutions to focus on
To date, the province has 935 cooperatives, of which 888 are operating. Average revenue reaches over 2.2 billion VND/year, contributing about 4.82% to the province's GRDP.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De affirmed that in recent years, Nghe An has implemented many specific programs and projects to support the collective economic sector - the core of which are cooperatives - to develop both in quantity and quality. However, the digital transformation process of this sector still faces many challenges, especially in terms of infrastructure, human resources and awareness.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Nghe An has identified five basic solutions to focus on: Promoting communication to raise awareness; building a cooperation model between state agencies and enterprises; enhancing research and application of new technologies; attracting investment resources for digital infrastructure; and promoting cooperation and training of human resources for digital transformation.
Provincial leaders expressed their belief that, with the support of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and localities, the digital transformation movement in Nghe An will create a breakthrough, contributing to building smart new rural areas and developing the collective economy more effectively and sustainably.
