
The Department of Agriculture and Environment has just sent a telegram to coastal units and localities to proactively respond to strong winds and big waves at sea.
Currently, the coastal areas in the province have scattered showers and thunderstorms. It is forecasted that on the night of October 13 and on October 14, the coastal areas of Ha Tinh will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind of level 6-7 and waves over 2m high.
All ships and other activities in the Ha Tinh sea area are at risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds and big waves. It is necessary to take precautions against the risk of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind and big waves affecting tourism and production activities, especially at the beaches of Xuan Thanh, Thach Bang, Thach Hai, Thien Cam and Vung Ang Economic Zone.

To proactively respond to strong winds and big waves at sea, the Department of Agriculture and Environment recommends that localities and units closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of strong winds and big waves at sea; promptly notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent, have appropriate production plans, ensure safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle bad situations that may occur.
Prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when a situation occurs.
Strengthen information and communication work on weather developments, natural disasters and measures to respond to strong winds at sea on mass media so that people can proactively prevent and minimize damage.
