The Russian military announced that it launched missiles at "foreign weapons" depots of the Ukrainian armed forces.
"The Russian military has carried out a coordinated strike with long-range guided weapons launched from warships against storage sites of foreign-made weapons and military equipment for the Ukrainian armed forces. The purpose of the strike has been achieved, all targets have been hit," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said today.

Images released by Russian defense television showed a warship launching a series of long-range Kalibr cruise missiles, along with many Ukrainian armored vehicles being hit by artillery shells and guided missiles launched from Ka-52 helicopters.
The Ukrainian Air Force Command said on the same day that the Russian submarine launched four Kalibr cruise missiles, combined with four Shahed-136/131 suicide drones to attack targets in the east and south of the country. "All eight targets were intercepted by air defense," the agency said.
Ukrainian authorities had earlier issued an air defense alert in a number of provinces including Sumy, Poltava, Kharkov, Kirovograd, Dnipro, Mykolaiv and Odessa. Some residents in Odessa reported hearing a loud explosion, but the cause was unclear.

Russia is conducting continuous raids to prevent Ukraine's counter-offensive, as well as to deplete the enemy's anti-aircraft ammunition, as they have to constantly fire expensive shells to deal with cheap missiles and UAVs.
Deputy Director of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Directorate Vadym Skibitsky said last month that Russia was focusing on attacking strongholds and ammunition depots to disrupt the counterattack, instead of trying to destroy energy infrastructure as before.
