On the afternoon of December 31, the Central Internal Affairs Committee held an online conference to review the work of the Party's internal affairs sector and the activities of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity (PCTNLPTC) in 2024, and directions and tasks for 2025.

General Secretary To Lam - Head of the Central Steering Committee on PCTNLPTC and comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on PCTNLPTC, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform (CCTP) and comrades Deputy Heads of the Central Internal Affairs Committee chaired the conference.

Attending the conference at the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee bridge were comrade Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption; comrade Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrades Deputy Heads of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption; comrades members of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption.

In 2024, the Party's internal affairs sector and the provincial Steering Committees for Anti-Corruption and Crime Prevention made many efforts and attempts to comprehensively complete the tasks set out in the work program, with 10 outstanding events and results. Of which, 10 major projects on internal affairs, anti-corruption and crime prevention were completed and submitted to the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Crime Prevention and Control and the Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Control.

Advised and organized well 3 sessions, 2 meetings of the Steering Committee, Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on PCTNLPTC and more than 600 sessions, meetings of the Steering Committee on PCTNLPTC. At the same time, advised and organized more than 1,000 receptions and dialogues with citizens of the Provincial Party Secretary, City Party Committee; received and handled nearly 60,000 petitions, letters of reflection, complaints, denunciations and advised and directed the handling of more than 200 mass, complicated lawsuits, contributing to maintaining political stability and social order and safety.

In addition, the Central Internal Affairs Committee has developed and submitted to the Politburo a Project to review and streamline the organizational apparatus and amend and supplement functions, tasks and powers in accordance with the requirements of the Steering Committee summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 13th Central Executive Committee on continuing to innovate and streamline the organizational apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently. The Provincial and Municipal Party Committees' Internal Affairs Committees have reorganized and consolidated their organizational apparatus in accordance with Resolution No. 18NQ/TW.

Speaking at the conference, General Secretary To Lam - Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Prevention highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party's internal affairs sector and the activities of the Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Prevention in 2024.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized: 2025 is a year of special importance in successfully carrying out the tasks of the entire term according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; carrying out organizational restructuring; organizing Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress, requiring the Party's internal affairs sector to continue to make greater efforts, with higher determination, advising and directing to further promote internal affairs, PCTNLPTC and CCTP. Focus on advising and directing drastic and comprehensive implementation, creating new changes and breakthroughs in the work of preventing and combating waste in the whole society.

Advise on the effective implementation of the Politburo's conclusion on strengthening the Party's leadership in the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints, denunciations, reflections, recommendations and the direction of the Standing Secretariat on handling complaints and denunciations to ensure security and order in service of Party Congresses at all levels. Effectively implement regulations on power control, improve the effectiveness of solutions to prevent corruption, waste and negativity, especially strengthening power control, anti-corruption in personnel work and in agencies with anti-corruption functions; prevent and combat waste and negativity in the implementation of reorganization and streamlining of the apparatus, staff and management and use of assets of agencies and organizations after reorganization and streamlining. Promote administrative reform, digital transformation, publicity, transparency, control of assets, income, and non-cash payments. Continue to consolidate and improve the organizational apparatus, build a team of Party internal affairs cadres who are truly "Firm - Sharp - Effective", contributing with the country to enter a new era - the era of national growth.
