Nghe An: Arresting bank robber

On the evening of February 1, a leader of Cua Lo town ( Nghe An ) confirmed that a bank robbery had just occurred in the area. The police are currently searching for the suspect.

According to initial information, the incident occurred at around 4 p.m. the same day at the transaction office of a bank branch in Cua Lo (located in Thu Thuy ward). At this time, a subject carrying a weapon rushed in and controlled the staff to rob money. After taking some money (the exact amount is unknown), the subject fled towards Vinh city.

Previously, on November 14, 2023, also in Cua Lo town, a robbery occurred at the Cua Lo branch bank. Shortly after committing the crime, Nguyen Tuan Anh (born in 1995, residing in Vinh city) was arrested by the police and sentenced to 4 years in prison by the People's Court of Nghe An province for robbery.
