Apple supplier invests another $330 million in Vietnam

According to AppleInsider , Luxshare started out as a company that made accessories like cables before working its way up to become a major supplier to Apple. As well as AirPods, the company is making the Vision Pro and is said to have won that order because it was willing to experiment with Apple's "crazy ideas" during production.

Luxshare continues to expand its manufacturing plant in Vietnam with an additional investment of 330 million USD

Now, a Reuters report says that Luxshare is preparing to return to its roots with a new investment in cable manufacturing. Luxshare’s additional $330 million investment in Vietnam is being spent on a factory in Bac Giang province. The expansion of Luxshare’s manufacturing facility is expected to take between 12 and 24 months.

Luxshare’s new investment is aimed at manufacturing cables for smart devices, styluses, smartwatches, and what it describes as smart location tags, sources said, although it’s unclear whether this includes AirTags and the Apple Watch.

Back in September 2023, Luxshare was reported to have doubled its iPhone production compared to last year. At the time, Luxshare said that it had expanded its production capacity in China to meet Apple's demand, while acknowledging that the company's current size was partly due to Apple's support.
