Samsung ordered to pay $445.5 million for patent infringement

According to the verdict, Samsung violated four patents owned by Collision Communications, a New Hampshire-based company specializing in wireless network efficiency technology.

A federal jury in Marshall, Texas (USA) on October 10 (local time) ruled that the leading Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung Electronics must pay $445.5 million in damages after discovering that the company had infringed many wireless network technology patents held by an American company.

According to the VNA reporter in Seoul, according to the verdict, Samsung violated four patents owned by Collision Communications - a company based in New Hampshire specializing in wireless network efficiency technology.

The jury determined that Samsung products, including Galaxy smartphones and laptops with wireless capabilities, infringed the patents at issue.

Collision Communications filed a lawsuit against Samsung in 2023, accusing Samsung of violating its proprietary technology./.
