Musician Hoai An – musical “fate” with the provinces of the Southwest region

Since 2000, when participating in the Green Summer campaign in Tra Vinh , he started composing the first song about the provinces of the Southwest region with the song Mother's Lullaby. The following year, in the Green Summer campaign in Ben Tre , he composed Ngan ngo cau ho.

From here, the male musician always waits for sudden emotions and inspirations to come to him from the composing field trips of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association, business trips (participating in the Green Summer campaign, performing, being a judge of competitions...) in the Western provinces, to create and release new songs such as: River Market (2009, Can Tho ), Hau Giang is more beautiful (2023, Hau Giang ), Vinh Long - love of land and people (2019, Vinh Long ), Hundred-year-old music (2020, Dong Thap ), An Giang Smile (2024, An Giang )...

Bac Lieu land alone gives him a lot of emotions through each trip here. He has 4 compositions about Bac Lieu: Remembering the sound of the zither, Bac Lieu's land and sky, Uoc the, Bac Lieu song of 10 loves.

Besides, he also wrote songs describing the beautiful scenery of his homeland with strong Southern identity: My homeland (2010), Colors of the homeland (2012), Life of rice, life of farmers (2013), Road home in the heart (2013)...

Musician Hoai An's musical compositions are imbued with the Southern character and the typical regional cultural life of each province, expressed gently and sweetly, honestly describing the gentle emotions of the musician when moved, stirring his poetic soul before the beautiful landscapes of the land and people of the South.

Musician Hoai An himself exclaimed, he started writing music about the provinces of the West 24 years ago, but until now, the "collection" of songs filled with emotions about the homeland of 13 provinces of the Mekong Delta has not been completed, for him that is a shortcoming in his career journey, attached to his own music. So, in the coming time, he will try to perform and perfect the quality of his compositions.
