Modern exhibition space, recreating the picture of 5 years of breakthrough in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation
The exhibition is a political and scientific activity of special significance, vividly demonstrating the results of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The exhibition space is designed in a modern and intuitive manner, combining images, models, and real products with digital space, to introduce outstanding achievements of the 2020-2025 period. The exhibition booths are arranged in three thematic groups: (1) Science and technology - the foundation for national development; (2) Innovation - a new growth driver; (3) Digital transformation - a breakthrough for integration and sustainable development.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and delegates visited the photo exhibition of achievements and results of the 2021-2025 term of affiliated Party Committees; exhibition of achievements in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; exhibition of achievements in economic , cultural and social development held on the occasion of the Congress.
An important highlight is the area introducing the core content of Resolution 57-NQ/TW, identifying 11 groups of national strategic technologies: Artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, next-generation mobile networks, robotics and automation, advanced biomedicine, energy and new materials, oil and gas - ocean - power grid, cyber security, semiconductor chips and aerospace. Immediately after the Resolution was issued, the Government submitted a resolution and five laws to the National Assembly at the 9th Session; at the same time, it is preparing to pass five new laws in the field of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation at the 10th Session at the end of 2025 - a record in institutional building for this field.
The exhibition not only displays documents and images, but also introduces 16 typical products, models and technologies of domestic research institutes, enterprises and technology corporations, demonstrating the technological autonomy and creativity of Vietnamese people. Typical examples include: humanoid robots and dog-shaped robots; 500 kV transformer models; Viettel's 5G ecosystem; Vietnam's vaccine ecosystem; National Public Service Portal; models of Rach Mieu and Rach Mieu 2 cable-stayed bridges; Tam Dao 05 self-elevating drilling rig; TN-75 ship; BR12 close-range warning radar; optoelectronic homing head; SaoLa Vietnamese large language model; Vietnam Blockchain multi-chain service network (VBSN); Project 06 utility ecosystem; VinFast Lac Hong electric car; and Song Hong rocket.
Outstanding results in all fields, affirming the position and aspirations of Vietnamese intelligence
According to the SCImago 2024 rankings, Vietnamese science has recorded significant progress: ranked 22nd in the world in Economics and Finance; 25th in Business Administration and Accounting; 37th in Mathematics; 38th in Chemistry; 41st in Life Sciences; 44th in Earth Sciences; 46th in Social Sciences; and 49th in Physics. This result reflects efforts to invest, innovate management mechanisms and promote scientific research.
In the field of social sciences and humanities, many research programs on political theory, history and culture have been widely implemented, contributing to clarifying theoretical and practical issues in building a socialist rule-of-law state. Many typical works such as "Vietnamese patriotism (1945-2015)", "History of the Vietnamese government (1945-2015)" and "Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on the state and law" were awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Science and Technology.
In natural sciences, geological, meteorological, hydrological, environmental and climate change research has achieved important results. The project cluster "Application of marine geophysics to measure and map the seabed topography and study the geological structure of Vietnam's sea areas" serves the planning, exploitation and protection of sea and island sovereignty. The automatic hydrometeorological monitoring station system has been widely deployed, improving the capacity for early warning of natural disasters.
In science and technology, Vietnam has mastered many advanced technologies in construction, transportation, new materials and manufacturing. Ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) technology is applied in bridges, tunnels and coastal works, helping to reduce maintenance costs and increase the life of the works. In 2024, the National Innovation Center (NIC Hoa Lac) will be inaugurated, becoming a hub for gathering leading technology enterprises.
Vietnam's agriculture continues to make its mark with high-yield crop, livestock and aquatic varieties that adapt to climate change. The VinIF Research Institute's "High-yield, drought-tolerant rice varieties" won the VinFuture Award 2024, affirming the position of Vietnamese agricultural science in the international arena. In medicine, Vietnam has mastered multiple organ transplantation techniques, applied autologous stem cells in the treatment of cardiovascular, neurological and musculoskeletal diseases; applied next-generation gene sequencing (NGS) in prenatal screening; and researched vaccines and drugs from domestic medicinal herbs, contributing to improving the quality of people's health care.

The Prime Minister and delegates visited the Exhibition of achievements in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
In science and technology serving national defense and security, military research units have mastered radar technologies (VRS-DM04, VRS-MCX), anti-UAV reconnaissance-jamming complexes, tactical combat UAVs, multi-purpose survey ships 99... Many products are dual-purpose, serving both national defense and contributing to socio-economic development, affirming technological autonomy.
The 2020-2025 period also witnessed the strong development of the national innovation ecosystem. According to the Global Innovation Index (GII 2025), Vietnam ranked 44/139 countries, 3rd in Southeast Asia. The startup ecosystem flourished with thousands of technology enterprises, many projects calling for capital on a regional and international scale; according to StartupBlink 2025, Vietnam ranked 55th in the world, 5th in Southeast Asia.
The exhibition dedicates a large space to reenact the 5-year journey of national digital transformation: 2020 - launching and promoting internal strength; 2021 - strongly applying digital technology to prevent and combat COVID-19; 2022 - digital transformation spreads to all fields, bringing people and businesses to the digital environment; 2023 - data becomes a new resource, implementing the National Data Strategy, connecting 7 national databases, VNeID becomes the only digital account; 2024 - digital transformation becomes the driving force for growth, developing the digital economy on four pillars: digital technology industry, digital economy of industries, digital governance and digital data.
The exhibition of achievements in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in Vietnam in the period of 2020-2025 is not only an opportunity to summarize the outstanding results of the past 5 years, but also a testament to the creative spirit and aspiration of Vietnamese intelligence in the new era; affirming that science, technology, innovation and digital transformation are one of the three strategic breakthroughs, contributing to building a country that develops rapidly, sustainably and self-reliantly.
