Launching the response to "Action Month for the Vietnamese Elderly" in 2024

On October 1, in Tam Nong district, the Provincial Elderly Association's Representative Board launched the "Action Month for the Vietnamese Elderly" in 2024. Attending the launching ceremony were comrade Nguyen Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial Elderly Association's Representative Board.

Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Hai, leaders of Tam Nong district and sponsors presented gifts to Elderly members in difficult circumstances.

The whole province currently has more than 220,000 elderly members. With the theme "Joining hands to protect, care for and promote the role of the elderly" in the Action Month of 2024, the Association of the Elderly at all levels in the province continues to be creative and proactive in organizing activities and movements for the elderly; thereby expanding and enriching the Association's activities, creating a useful playground, suitable for the elderly, properly implementing the motto "The elderly live happily, live healthily, live happily". Strive and ensure that 100% of poor elderly people and elderly people in difficult circumstances are cared for and helped in many different forms, suitable to actual conditions. At the same time, care, encourage and create conditions to promote the role, prestige, experience and intelligence of the elderly, contributing to the successful implementation of the economic , cultural and social development goals of the locality.

Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial Elderly Association Representative Board Nguyen Hai presented gifts to Elderly members.

At the launching ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial Elderly Association Representative Board Nguyen Hai, along with leaders of Tam Nong district and sponsors, presented 20 gifts to elderly members in difficult circumstances of Hung Hoa town and Huong Non commune.

Training on Laws of organizing Squash competitions for the elderly.

Also at the program, doctors and medical staff from Saigon - Phu Tho Eye Hospital and Hung Hoa Town Health Station examined, consulted and provided free medicine to the elderly. The Representative Board of the Elderly Association organized training on establishing and managing intergenerational self-help clubs and provided guidance on professional skills, field techniques and training on the Law on organizing Squash competitions for the elderly, thereby promoting the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", improving the health and spiritual and cultural life of the elderly.
