(Chinhphu.vn) - Despite being heavily affected by storms and floods, the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) has still synchronously and flexibly implemented many solutions to stabilize production, promote consumption and basically completed production and business targets for September as well as the past 9 months.

In October 2025, the weather situation is forecast to continue to be complicated, with many storms and rains, unfavorable for coal and mineral exploitation activities. TKV will continue to synchronously deploy solutions, striving to complete the targets.

Coal production exceeds plan

TKV said that in September 2025, raw coal production reached 2.75 million tons, equal to 104.0% of the plan; the cumulative output in the first 9 months is estimated at 29.52 million tons, equal to 107.1% over the same period. Clean coal production reached 2.92 million tons, the cumulative output in the first 9 months is estimated at 29.22 million tons, equal to 105.6% over the same period. Imported coal reached 575 thousand tons, equal to 100% of the plan; the cumulative output in the first 9 months is estimated at 8.59 million tons. Consumption of 3.03 million tons of coal in September; the cumulative output in the first 9 months is estimated at 34.06 million tons.

Earth and rock excavation in September reached 10.1 million m3, equal to 101.0% of the plan; the cumulative volume in the first 9 months of 2025 is estimated at 111.8 million m3, equal to 106.7% over the same period. The tunnel excavation volume in September reached 23.82 thousand meters, equal to 102.9% of the plan; the cumulative volume in the first 9 months is estimated at 205.4 thousand meters, equal to 105.8% over the same period.

Production and consumption of mineral products in September continued to remain stable. Alumina production in September reached 118 thousand tons; the cumulative production in the first 9 months of the year is estimated at 1.09 million tons, equal to 104.6% over the same period. Alumina consumption reached 135.5 thousand tons; the cumulative consumption in the first 9 months of the year is estimated at 1.07 million tons, equal to 100.8% over the same period.

Copper concentrate production reached 9.5 thousand tons, estimated at 81.9 thousand tons in the first 9 months. Monthly consumption was 2.5 thousand tons; estimated at 24.9 thousand tons in the first 9 months, equal to 101.6% over the same period. Copper plate production reached 2.61 thousand tons, equal to 111.1% of the monthly plan; estimated at 23.6 thousand tons in the first 9 months, equal to 106.9% over the same period. Estimated at 2.35 thousand tons of copper plate, equal to 100.0% of the plan; estimated at 22.6 thousand tons in the first 9 months, equal to 105.9% over the same period...

Electricity production in September reached 531 million kWh, equal to 102% of the 9-month cumulative plan of 7.68 billion kWh, equal to 109.4% over the same period.

Explosive production in September reached 5.2 thousand tons, accumulated in 9 months 59.5 thousand tons, equal to 105.1% over the same period. Supply of 7.8 thousand tons of explosives, accumulated in 9 months 81.1 thousand tons.

Ammonium Nitrate production in September reached 17 thousand tons, equal to 100% of the monthly plan; accumulated 9 months 150.2 thousand tons, equal to 107.8% over the same period. Ammonium Nitrate consumption in September reached 20.9 thousand tons, equal to 175% of the monthly plan; accumulated 9 months 144 thousand tons, equal to 110.5% over the same period.

Production activities in September remained stable, the Group's main production and business targets were basically completed as planned. Security, order and safety were ensured.

Completing the basic targets according to the operating plan has brought TKV's total revenue in September 2025 to an estimated VND 12.06 trillion, the accumulated revenue for the first 9 months of the year is estimated to reach VND 125.13 trillion, equal to 101.4% over the same period. The estimated state budget payment in September is VND 1,336 billion; the accumulated revenue for the first 9 months of the year is estimated to be VND 19,723 billion.

Produce 115 thousand tons of Alumina; consume 133.3 thousand tons. Produce 5.4 thousand tons of copper concentrate, consume 2.6 thousand tons; expected to produce 850 million kWh of electricity; 5.6 thousand tons of explosives; supply 8.3 thousand tons of explosives. Produce 16.5 thousand tons of Ammonium Nitrate; consume 15 thousand tons... Consolidated revenue of the whole Group in October 2025 is expected to reach 16 thousand billion VND.
