Hundreds of students found carrying weapons to school

On May 14, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that on May 12, more than 3,000 police officers and soldiers at all levels simultaneously checked students at 631 secondary schools, high schools, continuing education centers; and 773 shops selling various goods in front of school gates across the province.

Police force checked each classroom

As a result of the inspection, the police discovered hundreds of students were possessing 152 knives (fruit knives, homemade knives, daggers, switchblades, chopping knives), scissors of various types; 27 nunchakus, three-section sticks, iron pipes, wooden sticks; 24 plastic bullet guns, pepper spray, homemade electric batons; 23 pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers; 91 electronic cigarette machines; 16 bottles of electronic cigarette essential oil.

Notably, the police also discovered two students possessing "American weed" and marijuana.

In addition, the police force also checked more than 4,000 students' vehicles, thereby discovering 392 students driving motorbikes over 50cc.

Many students carrying weapons and dangerous objects to school were confiscated.

Particularly for the shops selling in front of the school gate, out of 773 shops inspected, there were 79 shops selling goods of unknown origin.

After confiscating the violating items, local police are coordinating with schools and families to come up with a solution, while also propagating and deterring students from violating the rules.
