On October 15, the Veterans Association of Mong Cai 2 Ward (Quang Ninh Province) solemnly held the 8th Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030.

The Congress of Delegates of the Veterans Association of Mong Cai 2 Ward for the 2025 - 2030 term aims to summarize and evaluate the results of implementing the Resolution of the Congress for the 2022 - 2025 term; Determine the direction, tasks and solutions for the Association's work in the 2025 - 2030 term; Participate in contributing to the documents of the Congress at higher levels; With the spirit of "Loyalty - Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation", the Congress is an important political event demonstrating the will, belief and determination of the Veterans' cadres and members in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Doan Xuan Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Veterans Association, praised the achievements of the Ward Veterans Association in the past term and emphasized: Facing great opportunities, initially operating the 2-level local government model, operating more effectively, efficiently and effectively. To continue promoting the glorious tradition of the Association, the Ward Party Committee requested the Mong Cai 2 Ward Veterans Association to focus on implementing a number of key tasks, which are to continue to build the Association to be truly strong in politics, ideology and organization. Promoting the nature and tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers".

Focus on innovating the content and methods of branch activities, paying attention to training and developing veterans in the Association, ensuring the inheritance and youthfulness of the organization; Promote patriotic emulation movements, associated with the implementation of local political tasks. Continue to effectively implement the "Exemplary Veterans" movement, further promoting the core role in maintaining national defense and security, especially on the border and sea; promptly coordinate with the police and military forces to grasp the situation, contributing to maintaining peace in the homeland. At the same time, pay attention to taking better care of the material and spiritual lives of members; promote the "Comradely Love" movement. The Association needs to play a good role as a bridge, mobilizing resources to support members in difficulty, helping each other develop the economy.

The Congress approved the Decision of the Provincial Veterans Association Executive Committee on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Inspection Committee, Head of Inspection Committee of the Veterans Association of Mong Cai 2 Ward for the 2025-2030 term. Comrade Vu Dinh Phong was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Veterans Association of Mong Cai 2 Ward for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress also discussed and approved the report summarizing the results of giving opinions on the draft political report of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Veterans Association, Term VII, to be submitted to the Congress of Delegates of Quang Ninh Province, Term VIII, and the Opinions on amending the Charter of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Term VIII.

The 8th Ward Veterans Association (term 2025-2030) is determined to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the tradition of "Loyalty - Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation"; build the Mong Cai 2 Ward Veterans Association to be strong in all aspects; excellently complete all tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the local development goals in the era of national growth.

The Association of War Veterans of Mong Cai 2 Ward was established under Decision No. 172/QD-CCB dated June 22, 2025 of the Executive Committee of the Association of War Veterans of Quang Ninh Province on the basis of merging the Association of War Veterans of Ka Long Ward, Ninh Duong Ward, Van Ninh Commune. The Association of War Veterans of Mong Cai 2 Ward currently has 615 members operating in 18 associations, the organizational structure has been consolidated from the branch level to the Ward Association Executive Committee.
