Suoi Trai commune has a large cassava growing area of about 2,000 hectares. The lives of the people here mainly depend on agricultural production, in which cassava is the second most popular crop, after sugarcane. To serve the purchase of agricultural products, a series of weighing stations have been built.
On a land area of nearly 3,000 m2 in Kham village, on agricultural land, many structures were built and are said to be for purchasing agricultural products, with items including: an operating house, a concrete foundation for weighing tables, a drying and gathering area for cassava...
When the inspection team of the People's Committee of Suoi Trai commune came to work, the land suddenly became "ownerless". The officers of the commune's Economic Department contacted the village chief, but still could not determine who owned the land and the above constructions.

After making a general report, the representative of the authorities said that only a few weighing stations had complete documents, the rest were spontaneous activities.
"In the coming time, we will direct the People's Committee of Suoi Trai commune to focus on handling this matter, putting agricultural weighing stations into operation in accordance with legal regulations, serving the lives of local people - Mr. |
“During the inspection, we have not yet discovered who carried out this work. This is agricultural land, and construction without permission from the authorities is not in accordance with the law. In the coming time, the authorities will investigate the subject, determine the behavior, and if there is any violation, it will be handled according to the law,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Head of the Economic Department of Suoi Trai Commune.
In addition to the project in Kham village, through the reporter's investigation, in Suoi Trai commune there are nearly 10 agricultural product purchasing weighing stations. Many of the weighing stations are located near residential areas, causing bad odors in the surrounding environment. The spontaneous development of agricultural product purchasing weighing stations will create an unhealthy competitive environment, potentially threatening local security and order.
“After receiving the feedback, the locality has directed the professional force to go and check and verify. The locality's viewpoint is to resolutely handle these cases according to the law if they violate the law. In the near future, the locality will direct the inspection of weighing stations in the commune. We will resolutely do this, in order to strengthen the management of agricultural weighing stations in the locality in the coming time,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Suoi Trai commune, affirmed.
