The OXH-01 social housing project was started right after Quang Ninh successfully organized the 16th Provincial Party Congress; at the same time, it is the first project of the province in the new term, affirming the province's continued commitment to the sustainable development goals. With a total investment of about 968 billion VND (non-budgetary capital), the project uses more than 1.5 hectares of land with a scale of a 19-storey building. After completion, the project will create 850 apartments with an area of 50-60 m2/apartment, expected to serve about 3,400 people, mainly workers and low-income people.
Previously, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, Hai Ha Industrial Park Vietnam Co., Ltd. started the social housing project to serve workers of Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park - phase 1 with a total investment of 638 billion VND, a scale of 6 apartment buildings 6 floors high with about 700 apartments, which can accommodate 1,500 workers. In the first phase alone, the enterprise deployed 244 apartments, with an area of 42 to 87 m2, serving about 700 people.
Also in this series of meaningful events, the inauguration ceremony and signboard installation of the social housing project in the residential area of Ngan Hang Hill (Ha Lam ward) took place. This is a project with a total investment of more than 1,361 billion VND, providing 986 modern and synchronous apartments, helping thousands of workers have long-term accommodation, while contributing to the driving force for local socio -economic development.
In addition, Quang Ninh province also granted investment certificates to 9 urban and social housing projects with a total capital of about 21,437 billion VND, including many large projects such as the social housing area in Ha Lam ward, Dong Trieu industrial park, workers' dormitory area and the social housing project at Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park.
Currently, Quang Ninh has been implementing dozens of social housing projects, concentrated in areas with a large number of workers and migrant workers. Many projects are built with modern designs, synchronous infrastructure, integrated green spaces, close to schools, medical stations, markets, etc. to create conditions for people to not only "have a place to live" but also "settle down and make a living".
With the spirit of administrative procedure reform, the responsible accompaniment of the government and the active participation of enterprises, Quang Ninh is realizing the goal of building nearly 18,000 social housing units. These social housing projects are not only architectural works but also symbols of a dynamic, humane and sustainable Quang Ninh.
