Phan Rang Ward: Competition to arouse the desire for development

Phan Rang Ward was merged from 4 wards: Kinh Dinh, Dao Long, Phu Ha and Dai Son. After the merger, the patriotic emulation movement in Phan Rang continued to spread widely among all classes of people, contributing to the successful implementation of local socio-economic development tasks.

Creating motivation to build civilized urban areas

Immediately after the merger, the Party, government and mass organizations of the ward quickly stabilized and operated effectively; the number of temporarily assigned cadres and civil servants was 91, of which 32 were from the Party - mass organizations and 59 were from the government. Party building work was focused on all aspects, associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, becoming a regular routine in the Party cells. Political and social organizations promoted their core role in the great national solidarity bloc, effectively implementing the movements "Skilled mass mobilization", "All people unite to build a cultural life", "All people protect national security".

Comrade Le Hoai Nam - Chairman of the Ward People's Committee said: "Each emulation movement is associated with the political tasks of the ward. Cadres and party members set an example, practice what they preach; create clear changes in mass mobilization, administrative reform and digital transformation - the foundation for a truly clean and strong political system."

Along with the good implementation of the work of building a strong Party, government and mass organizations, Phan Rang ward also focuses on directing the effective implementation of local socio -economic development tasks, affirming its position as a core urban area in the southern region of the province. Up to now, the total production value of the whole ward has reached 4,029 billion VND, of which trade - services account for 82.3%; industry - construction 16.4%; agriculture - aquaculture only 1.3%. State budget revenue increases by an average of 12.5%/year, ensuring regular expenditure, social security and national defense and security. Urban planning and order management work has been strengthened, the urban appearance is increasingly bright - green - clean - beautiful, with many civilized streets such as: Ngo Gia Tu, Thong Nhat, 21/8, Hoang Dieu, Tran Nhan Tong, Tran Quang Dieu...

Currently, the whole ward has 4 markets, 4 supermarkets, 1 commercial center, 434 economic establishments and 719 enterprises. The Phu Ha New Urban Area project is being implemented in the ward, especially a number of large projects have been completed and put into operation such as: GO! Commercial Center, Sustainable Environment Sub-project of coastal cities - Phan Rang - Thap Cham..., creating momentum for infrastructure development, contributing to improving the quality of life for people. Currently, the rate of poor households in the ward is only 0.25%; near-poor households 1.06%. The ward strives to have no poor households by 2030. Comrade Le Hoai Nam shared: "The results of the patriotic emulation movement are not only reflected in economic indicators, but also in the consensus of the people. Each neighborhood has initiatives and specific actions to preserve the landscape and order, contributing to building a civilized and modern urban area".

Spread strongly

The patriotic emulation movement in Phan Rang ward has spread strongly to each residential area and residential group. For example, the Women's Union of the ward maintains the model of "Family of 5 no, 3 clean", "Safe, green - clean - beautiful residential group"; at the same time, it launched the movement "Anti-plastic waste", waste classification at source. The Youth Union with the activities "Saturday for the people", "Youth digital transformation", "Youth for the community" has become a pioneering force in building civilized urban areas. The Ward Veterans Association has launched the movement "Veterans help each other do business, maintain urban order", thereby supporting capital and sharing experiences for members in difficult circumstances to rise up. Mr. Tran Ngoc Minh - Chairman of the Phan Rang Ward Veterans Association shared: “Veterans always maintain the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in peacetime. Patriotic emulation for us means emulating to build a strong and united political system; living responsibly, exemplary, helping each other to develop together”.
