Rach Dua Ward: More than 1,000 people walk to raise funds to support disadvantaged students

On the morning of August 24, at Dong Xuyen Industrial Park, the People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Rach Dua Ward (HCMC) coordinated to organize a fundraising walking program "Sharing Steps - Helping to Go to School" to support students in difficult circumstances before the new school year 2025 - 2026.

The program aims to mobilize resources from agencies, businesses, philanthropists and all people to raise funds to award scholarships, bicycles, school supplies and uniforms to students in difficult circumstances in the spirit of leaving no child behind.

This is also a practical program to welcome the success of the 1st Congress of Rach Dua Ward Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030; towards the Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Congress of the Party; at the same time, celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day September 2.

More than 1,000 people participated in the fundraising walk to support students.

With a 2km route, the event attracted the participation of more than 1,000 delegates. Many units and businesses donated nearly 450 million VND. The representative of the organizing committee said that the entire fund will be public, transparent and handed to students at the opening of the new school year.
