When Duc Tri was the music director for a program, he definitely wouldn't let me put his song in. One time, I argued and insisted on singing the song "Ta chang con ai" in the program Duyên dáng Việt Nam . That time, I argued and said that this was the song I chose, not Duc Tri. Thanks to that, I am now a beautiful woman with thorns, collecting many of his songs. That is truly my happiness. I often say, a singer needs a voice, but if there is no great, good musician behind her, it is very difficult to succeed. Phuong Thanh needs a musician behind her like Duc Tri, and right now Phuong Thanh likes to stand behind Duc Tri."

The Thanh singer confided that she likes to follow the musician "Like a wandering wind" because she is behind a talented musician and she feels proud and happy. She knows that even if she follows, she will only be a "silent pink shadow" behind him and will never be included in Duc Tri's list of pink shadows. But for Phuong Thanh, that doesn't mean anything.

Musician Duc Tri said: "The first person I always think of is Phuong Thanh. She successfully performed many of my songs. She is an old friend, but later on, I like new voices like Nguyen Ha, Lan Nha... There is a character who rarely appears in other people's shows, but this time I invited her to join me, that is My Tam."

Sharing about the concert "Like a wandering wind", musician Duc Tri said that this is the largest music program in his music career so far. He used the song "Like a wandering wind" to name the program because this is the first song he composed in 1995 but it was not recorded until 2023.

"I learned to compose songs quite early. From the 9th grade, teachers who knew my father often came to visit my house and taught me how to compose music. But the way I learned to compose was mainly by setting existing poems to music. Perhaps because when I was young, my musical talent was more evident than my literary talent.

I also tried to write the lyrics and music a few times to show the teachers but without much success. I still remember Professor To Vu shaking his head. When I tried singing, he told me to stop singing and said: "Okay, you should concentrate on studying music well, don't write these nonsense love stories". Therefore, I temporarily forgot the idea of ​​writing a song with both lyrics and music.

During my time at the Conservatory, I worked in the studio of musician Tran Thanh Tung and continued to practice writing. Sometimes I showed it to Tung or Nguyen Ngoc Thien, and they still patted me on the shoulder to encourage me: "That's okay, you should adjust this, add this."

"Like a wandering wind" was born in those days, when I was about to graduate from the Conservatory. But like the fate of some previous experimental songs, it was put in a drawer for nearly 20 years. I always thought the song was too immature, weighed down by the shadow of previous musicians, yet the person who wrote it kept trying to overcome it," musician Duc Tri expressed.

The live concert will include the most typical songs of musician Duc Tri, which made up part of the face of Vietnamese youth music during the brilliant period from the late 90s of the last century to the 2000s. These are also the "hit" songs that contributed to building the names of top singers.

"Like a wandering wind" brings together a very high-quality guest lineup, artists associated with musician Duc Tri's hits as well as new voices that he loves: Phuong Thanh, My Tam, Nguyen Ha, Lan Nha, Pham Anh Khoa, Quoc Thien.

"There is a character who rarely appears in other people's shows, but this time I was able to invite her to join me, that is My Tam. Inviting My Tam is very difficult, but we owe each other. In many of her shows, I am present, so she will also be present in my show," Duc Tri said.
